Most peer groups for entrepreneurs take the business seriously and leave the rest of life to chance. We wanted the opposite.
A room that takes the whole life as seriously as the business, and applies the same tools to it.
Here's what we kept noticing in ourselves and in the people around us. Accomplished people over-invest in whatever's easiest to measure. Revenue has a dashboard. Your health, your marriage, whether you're actually present with your kids, whether you're enjoying any of this: those don't. So they get less attention, not because they matter less, but because nobody's tracking them.
Someone can be crushing it professionally and know, quietly, that their health or their marriage needs attention. Someone else can have a great family life and know they've been playing small at work. Both belong in this room. The question isn't which part of your life you've got figured out. It's whether you're willing to look at the parts you haven't, and do something about it.
FOUND is about building a life deliberately rather than accidentally. Strategy, measurable goals, honest review, and people who won't let you coast, across everything that matters. That includes the business, and we take it seriously: real strategy, real numbers, real accountability. It just doesn't stop there.
Focus is what matters. Ownership is who's responsible. Uncomfortable is what growth costs. Navigate is how you get there. Discipline is how you stay the course.
Get clear on what actually matters to you. Not what should, not what looks good. Cut through the noise and decide where your attention and energy belong this year.
Take responsibility for where you are, the choices that got you here, and where you want to go. Circumstances are real. Excuses are optional. The room doesn't accept them.
Growth costs something. Hard conversations, saying the thing you've been avoiding out loud, letting someone point at a blind spot you'd rather not look at. If it's comfortable, it probably isn't working.
Build the actual path from where you are to where you want to be. Make intentional decisions, measure them, adapt when reality disagrees with the plan, and course-correct without drama.
Follow through. Keep the promises you make to yourself and to the group. Keep doing what matters after the motivation has worn off, because it will, and that's when it counts.
We each bring something different and we facilitate, so the room stays about you and not about us. Matt runs the strategy sessions. Shane hosts, and runs the life side. Mike runs the mindset. The quality of the room is the product. More about the three of us.
Business strategy and the operator's view. Matt pushes the group on the plan itself: the numbers, the assumptions, the ninety-day priorities. He's also spent years working out how to integrate real business ambition with family and life, rather than trading one for the other.
Whole-life intentionality and personal growth. Shane's particular interest is the connection between performance and being regulated and present, and how you show up when the pressure's on. He's learning this alongside everyone else, and would be the first to say so.
Gratitude, resilience, perspective and mental toughness. Mike is the one who zooms the room out when it's gotten too close to the problem: what's already working, what this year is actually costing you, and what the older version of you would say about it.
The people in the room matter more than anything else we do. So we're honest about the fit in both directions.
